The Central Securities Depository (DCV) electronically processes and records transfers executed on the exchanges and over the counter markets. It coordinates and delivers relevant information for the settlement of transactions.
The DCV is authorized to serve as custodian of publicly offered securities and facilitate transfer operations of these securities among depositors, as outlined by the procedures established in Law 18,876.
Among the services that the DCV offers are: national custody services, international custody services, forward services, OMGEO post-trade services and shareholder/investor record keeping services.
- The DCV is a corporation that operates under the rules and instructions of the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor.
- The institution works closely with the Central Bank, the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor, the Superintendency of Banks and Financial Institutions and underwriters and issuers.
