Aiming to show how market agents perceive corporate governance´s quality of the most traded companies, EY Chile and Santiago Exchange presented the results of The Market’s Voice Survey 2018.
The study, conducted for the second consecutive year, considered the opinion of more than 430 relevant players in the market as directors, C-suite executives, capital market analysts, risk rating agencies, regulators and other influential players from Chile and other markets, who evaluated the 35 most traded companies in the Chilean stock market.
The companies were evaluated by five pillars of corporate governance: business strategy, environment control, transparency, fair and equal treatment and sustainability management.
According to the study, Chilean companies showed advances on the development of their corporate governments, but showed as well challenges on environmental, social and fair government practices on the investment decisions. It also highlights the concern of the companies on introducing in their strategies political and technological risks.
