Best Practice Committee


The Best Practices Committee has to:

  • Learn about and solve any claims arising among the Exchange´s brokers, or between any one or more of them and their customers, or between a broker and the Exchange, due to violations of its Bylaws, the Rules of the Exchange, the legislation, or the rules established by the Superintendency.
  • Carry out the preventive or corrective surveillance of the market in order to preserve its fairness, competitiveness, order and transparency, being empowered to adopt conventions, order audits and make suggestions to the Exchange, its authorities or officers, and the brokers.

    • This Committee will act on its own initiative, at the request of the Board of Directors of Santiago Exchange, or at the request of any party concerned.​​

    • What is the Best Practice Committee?

      The Best Practices Committee's main objective is to support the self-regulating market through an independent, complementary activity, 

      in order to preserve the stability of the market, giving greater protection to investors and stability in the market. 

    • What are the trading hours of Santiago Exchange?

      Santiago Exchange has two trading hours, depending on the time of the year. 

      - In summer (from November to March) the trading in Santiago Exchange is done until 5 pm. 

      - In winter the trading is done until 4pm.
